So you want to row?
- Are you an ex-rower looking to take up masters rowing?
- Are you new to the sport and want to try it out?
- Did you row at school and want to take it up again?
- Or are you interested in the exciting new rowing form - coastal rowing?
We welcome adult rowers of all ages and with a strong focus on Masters rowing (rowing for those older than 27). You can join one of our learn to row classes, or if you already know how to row you can sign up to become a member straight away. We also welcome inquiries from coaches.
We can cater for you whether you aim to be an Olympic rower or a weekend social rower. You do not need to compete to be involved; you may want to simply row with a group of like-minded people who just enjoy getting out on the water with friends.
The club has recently purchased two new coastal rowing boats; we are one of the few clubs in Tasmania that has this new exciting rowing option.
Our para rowing program helps rowers with disabilities get on the water. There are events at Tasmanian and interstate regattas for para rowers who want to go on to compete.
For those days when you can't get on the water we have a small gym with rowing equipment including ergos and a dining area with water views for a refreshing beverage.
