The Glenorchy Rowing Club, the youngest rowing club in southern Tasmania, sits on the banks of the River Derwent in Glenorchy not far from Hobart's world famous MONA.

Our club motto is 'fun, fitness and friendship' and we welcome adults who want to row. 

We offer traditional 'skinny boat' rowing and coastal rowing.  We are one of the few clubs in  Tasmania that has this exciting new rowing option. 

At Glenorchy it doesn't matter if the water is glassy smooth or whitecap rough, with our mixed fleet you can get on the water in most conditions.  On those rare days when you can't row we have gym with rowing equipment including ergos.
